Social embroidery at the British Library June 02, 2015 17:50
Come and see Cornelia Parker's massive embroidery, and maybe have a go stitching your own little piece. If you're already a stitcher then bring whatever you're working on, and if you're a total novice I'll bring along some kit and teach you the very basic stitches. Maybe you can join me in recreating a word or two from Cornelia's work just like Jarvis Cocker who embroidered the words "common" and "people".
Watch this lovely video about it, and then come along and see it for yourself. http://www.bl.uk/events/cornelia-parker-magna-carta-an-embroidery

We are embroidering at the British Library (they're very pleased to have us) 96 Euston Road, London, NW1 2DB on Saturday 11th July 2015 from 2 - 3.30pm. Find us in the cafe under the Meetup/London Craft Club flag!
Please RSVP to firstname.lastname@example.org!
Here's a few words I've been working on - I think I prefer Jarvis's selection more though!
