During this 2 1/2 hour workshop, you will learn to create a miniature design on the flat side of a domed glass cabochon with paper and paint. You will then incorporate this into a piece of jewellery: a choice of either two pendant necklaces or a necklace and a brooch. You'll be guided through the design process and shown all the tricks involved in applying layers of thin paper and metallic paints to a small glass surface.
Once you have learned these techniques, you will be able to create more jewellery items at home. On the day you will be able to purchase cabochons, bezels, chain, charms and various findings from the studio at the end of the class.
The only thing you need to bring is an apron - all materials plus tea and coffee are included in the cost of the workshop.
This workshop is led by Gabriela Szulman, artist, designer and decoupage expert, and takes place in her own artist's studio. You'll be sent the exact address details a couple of days before the session.
