Work With Metal - Make a Copper Candelabra
Join us for a lovely evening making this elegant, on-trend copper candelabra. Whether you're looking for a perfect Valentine's date, or just want to try a new craft, this is a really wonderful way to spend an evening.
Exposed pipework and metal finishes are popping up all over Pinterest, and this workshop is a great way to try out the industrial trend on a smaller scale. You'll learn basic metal work techniques, including how to cut copper pipes, safely attach them together and finish them to create your own copper design. Any one can do it - and it will be nothing like the DT you remember from school.
During the session, you'll learn from our expert homewares designer and jewellery Melodie Telliez. Melodie will teach you the skills you need to know, and advise you on your design. You can follow her examples or create your own ideas, but you'll leave with a host of new metal working skills that don't require a metal shop of your own.
There are two options - standard tickets, where you create a two-stem candelabra, or a double ticket where you and a partner can collaborate on larger design.
So try out a new and unusual skill over a glass of wine at this friendly and fun beginners metal work evening.
