Learn the basics of tufting to create a stool with a padded, button-studded top. We’ll provide a wooden box and lid to get you started, and you’ll cover the whole piece with a fabric of your choice. You’ll build up and cover the padded seat, and learn how to make your own fabric buttons for the tufting. Finally add the castors to finish off. If you already know exactly the finished look you want, you can bring your own fabric but don't worry if you don't, we supply a small but lovely range of fabrics and haberdashery to chose from and we can advise you on the type of fabric to choose. At the end of the workshop you’ll have your own bespoke stool, with a finish that you’ll be proud of. Plus it doubles as a storage box with a removable lid. As always, we'll have kits available to buy at the end of the workshop if you want to have another go at home.
To keep you going, we'll supply plenty of drinks and nibbles througout.
