Beyond Beginners: Learn to Crochet Amigurumi Toys
All our Crochet Workshops will be held at our studio;
London Craft Club, 20 Bedford Square, London, WC1B 3HH. We are located between Tottenham Court Road and Goodge Street tube stations.
“What on earth is amigurumi?” If you haven’t heard of these cute crocheted toys before then you are in for a treat. Learn the basics of creating amigurumi and you’ll be able to make a huge array of different toys (and other items.) In the class you can choose whether to make a cute little critter, or a crocheted cactus.
During the workshop you will learn how to make a magic ring, crochet the single crochet stitch, how to increase and decrease, as well as how to read amigurumi patterns. It’s a great way to build on your existing crochet skills and learn some new techniques - plus you’ll end up with an adorable critter or cactus at the end.
This workshop is designed for people who have already crocheted before - you definitely don’t need to be an expert, but you do need to know how to do the basics such as chain stitch and single crochet.
Please note you may not finish your item during the class, but you will have learnt all the skills you need to be able to continue crocheting at home.
You will get to take home your crochet hook, plus all the yarn and materials needed to complete your project, and a handy cotton tote bag to carry it all in!
- All yarn and materials needed
- Your own crochet hook and stitch marker
- A cotton tote to take your supplies home in
- Printed instruction booklet
- A glass of Prosecco and unlimited hot drinks
Who's it for: This workshop is designed for people who have already done some basic crochet. If you’ve never crocheted before we recommend trying either our Anyone Can Crochet Granny Squares class, or our Anyone Can Crochet a Scarf class first to give you confidence. You must be over 18 to take part.
