Learn how to create your own original design, and apply it to a cushion with help from a professional designer.
Meet Suzie Kemner, the designer behind Huckleberry and Suzie London. Suzie’s been creating beautiful, Scandi inspired design for over 15 years, both for big brands and her own boutique labels.
The first half of the session
Suzie will introduce you to different ways to create a design and show you the tips and tools that professional designers use every day. There’s fun and practical exercises to kick-start your ideas and develop your designs. Get hands-on and play with colours and shapes until you’ve created a design you’re pleased with.
Then there's a quick cake break...
The second half of the session
We’ll show you how to apply your design to a cotton cushion using fabric applique technique. Leave with a lovely cushion, new skills and the confidence to create your own designs.
You'll leave with
A cotton cushion cover with your design applied to it using different coloured fabrics. All materials and the cushion cover are supplied free. Plus you'll have new design and craft skills, and a heap more confidence to create your own original designs.
After the session
We arrange a class reunion over coffee, about ten days after our session. And we share our progress online to keep you inspired and encouraged. Let's make gorgeous stuff together!
